Practically Speaking English

Our ministry is a unique blend of teaching English and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Initially, we focus on English because our belief is that if we deliver a quality English course, then students will be more open to hearing from us about other things, in particular the gospel presented later in the week.

All teachers are from the United States. Each teacher has received training in the Total Physical Response method of language teaching and the Practically Speaking English method and curriculum.

This Practically Speaking English course for teens and adults focuses on speaking practice, vocabulary expansion, and pronunciation improvement. While reading, writing, and understanding spoken English are important, our course gives each student maximum opportunity to hear, understand, and speak the English language beginning at their level of proficiency. Our goal is to provide exposure to practical English so that even new learners immediately begin to communicate in the English language.

Different Levels of Classes

Our course offers different levels of classes that match the student’s proficiency in speaking the English language. For this course, only their speaking ability is considered. Practically Speaking Children’s English

This energetic course is for all children aged 3-12 years. It primarily focuses on learning new vocabulary, and speaking practice, with an emphasis on proper pronunciation. While reading and writing English are important, our course is a conversational course that gives each student maximum opportunity to hear, understand, and speak the English language at a beginning level. Our goal is to provide exposure to practical English so that even new learners immediately begin to communicate in the English language.

Classes typically meet Monday through Friday for approximately one hour. Incorporated with the English lessons are some Spanish songs and a Bible story.
